The Portland Rose Festival Starlight Run was so much fun! The route itself was up and down hills and that was tiring and a bit annoying. The costumes were great! Everywhere I looked I saw such creative costumes. I saw people dressed as PAC-MAN characters, bananas, superman, hippies, a guy on a treadmill and one guy was even dressed up as all five village people. The most creative in my opinion was a tie between the guy running on a treadmill and the guy dressed up as all five village people. Every corner I turned I saw people lining the streets, this was the oddest part. People cheered us on and kids lined up to give us high fives! Really this was such a blast. I will be doing it every year now. By the way here is a fun fact: Arnold Schwarzenegger ran the very first Starlight Run that Portland ever put on. I encourage anyone to dress up and come out. I didn’t dress up this year but I will for sure next year.
